Measuring 100 x 100cm on cradled wood panel (3.5cm deep), the beautiful mix of unapologetic blues contrast against the warm ochres to create a wonderful contemporary work, perfect for anyone who loves the sea.
One of my favourite places here is Cabo Trafalgar, the lighthouse marking the famous coastline where Lord Nelson met his sorry end, even though the battle of Trafalgar was won by his brave fleet of ships in the early 19th century. I´ve tried to capture the view looking down from La Breña which is a beautiful natural pine forest which sits above it on the hills behind Los Caños de Meca. Handmade collage including newspaper add texture and interest to this colourful piece. Drips add to the feel of water whilst the little path invites to to take the walk along the track joining the land to the lighthouse.
