The coast always calls to my heart and features so much in my work. Although the subject appears often, no two paintings are ever the same in style, substance or feeling. Although stormy, the little buildings offer anyone refuge from the plunging waves beyond the steadfast wall. The colours are cooler mixes of blue/greens and earthy tones. It is finished in a gloss varnish which highlights the textures in the paint and glazes.
It comes unframed with the edges finished with a black paint. This adds to the contemporary feel of the piece overall. The hanging fitting is fixed to the back of the board ready to hang.
