70x70cm acrylic, collage, oil pastel and gold accent on cradled wood panel (3.5cm deep) completed 2023
This was inspired by an early morning walk on a winters day by the little harbour. The tide was out and the light was soft creating muted tones and colours in the sand, water and shadows of nearby buildings. One boat was sat slightly tilted, almost waiting for the sea to come and take it away to freedom.
The muted palette of soft, warm greys, greens and pink create a sense of calm whilst a little pop of red oxide adds extra interest.
