The white villages of Andalucia have many hidden secrets in their historic streets. Large wooden doors often lead to traditional patio houses and courtyards, decorated with pretty plants, stone arches and old wells. This painting was inspired by these hidden gems and gives a glimpse of what you might find if you are lucky enough to find an open door.
Brightly coloured and full of texture using paint and the addition of collage with a touch of gold, this is an expressionist style piece designed to draw the viewer through the arch and into the scene. It gives enough information about the subject whilst leaving a little of the detail to the viewers imagination.
This piece is shipped rolled and un-mounted with the frame deconstructed and would need to be re-stretched by a professional framer. This is for the safety of the artwork.
